About Us

Terry was a Pastor for 14 years at Fairfield Baptist Church in Cypress, Texas. He has lead groups on short-term trips to Honduras and the Rio Grande Valley for years. God placed a burden on his heart for the Pastors and people of the RGV; to serve them in a full-time capacity.

Brenda worked for Walmart for almost 36 years. As retirement approached, God burdened her heart to join Terry serving full-time in the RGV. Her unique management and logistical skills are a daily blessing and she loves those she is able to serve.

What We Do

We help support the local churches and Pastors by providing additional education resources, training, and discipleship. We also meet very practical needs such as food insecurity in the local community, clothing, shelter, and other needs.

How Can You Help: We provide mission-minded teams the opportunity to come to a local community in the RGV and serve in ministry alongside the local church. We always have building and maintenance projects, food pantry and clothing projects, VBS, Men’s, Women’s, or couples conferences, and teaching opportunities are always available. We want you to come experience loving God, loving others in a real-life way.

Constant Needs: Food supplies (non-perishable), new or gently used shoes and clothes, new or very gently used toys, cases/pallets of water, bags of rice and beans, and Spanish Bibles.

Your church or mission team can do food drives, clothing drives, purchase Bibles, or a number of other things in preparation to bringing a team to the RGV. Pray how God would use you to minister to the communities in the RGV.

It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. To make disciples who make disciples. As we follow the life and teachings of Christ, He loved and served others daily. Christ taught, demonstrated and commanded in His followers to preach the gospel to all nations. We are called as a child of God to speak the truth of the Gospel to a world that is broken and lost. This is a verbal witness as well as a lifestyle that reflects the characteristics of Jesus Christ. As we love God and Love Others, we meet very real physical needs by serving people in our “sphere of influence”, our local communities, and to the remotest parts of the world.

God Always Knows Better

The great philosopher Garth Brooks once sang a song with the line: “Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.” While theologically, that may not be sound doctrine, there is a hint of truth. I would modify it “God did answer my prayer; just not the way I prayed it” Have you ever experienced that

Who’s Watching?

We are often reminded that others are watching us as Christ-followers, which is true; people are watching. Just recently, Brenda and I have been reminded of this truth in a couple of different ways. It reminded us that living our faith every day is a vital part of our Christian walk and relationship with our

Two Questions: Where & Why?

Since we first publicly announced our new ministry opportunity, Then GO! Ministries, the most frequent questions asked are “Where is the RGV” and “Why are you going there?” The first question is easy enough to answer. The Rio Grande Valley (RGV) is located in the most southern part of Texas. It encompasses four Texas counties,
